Volunteer Awareness Week (VAW) coordinated by Volunteering New Zealand is a great opportunity to highlight volunteering and the wide range of volunteering roles available within the NZ community and encourages first-timers to give volunteering a go. This year, recognising and encouraging volunteering by youth will be under the spotlight during the Week. Young people are potential volunteers for today and encouraging them to become volunteers is crucial for the future of the NZ communities.
