Volunteering Auckland have a number of initiatives during Volunteer Awareness Week 2009. Showcasing volunteering by young people this week highlights the varied and many opportunities that are currently being undertaken by our youth in Auckland.
Students from AUT School of Journalism are writing stories on young volunteers [14-24years] for publication in our local suburban newspapers as part of their term assignment.

Volunteering Auckland is hosting an "Open Day" for member and non-member NPOs on Wednesday 17th to showcase how your local Volunteer Centre works and the services we have available for community organisaitons which involve volunteers.
